Adapted from the last of the Neapolitan Quartet, The Lost Children, Season 4 continues to delve into the adult lives of Lenona (Alba Rohrwacher) and Lila (Eline Maiorino). They find themselves caught up in the chaos of late 1980s Italy, when decades of political violence and social unrest are coming to an end. Under the dual pressures of maternal love and career, Elena and Lila once again live in the same neighborhood in the face of betrayal, threats, disappearances and natural disasters.
