The world seems to be about to be destroyed, and the remains of mankind are everywhere. A cat's home is destroyed by a great flood, and it finds refuge on a boat full of different animals. Despite the differences between them, it must work with them and face various unknown challenges. When creating the story of "Drifting", Jinzi Zibarodis borrowed the ever-changing perspectives in road movies, starting from the perspective of a cat, leading the audience to witness the life of all beings when the flood hits. As a senior fan of Hayao Miyazaki, Zibarodis also draws a lot of nourishment from the works of Kubrick, Hitchcock and Alfonso Cuarón. The unique narrative perspective and strong film and television accumulation made his second animated feature film "Drifting" shortlisted for the 2024 Cannes Film Festival Un Certain Regard unit.
