A stage play adapted from the classic legend "Yotani Kaidan" is in intense rehearsal. The popular female star Goto Miyuki (played by Shibasaki Yuki) and her mediocre but philandering boyfriend Hasegawa Kousuke (played by Ichikawa Ebizo) play Oiwa, who eventually becomes a vengeful spirit, and the unfaithful samurai Iemon. Reality and drama reflect each other, making it increasingly difficult for the two to distinguish the boundaries between the two. Hasegawa has an ambiguous relationship with the new actress Asahina Rio (played by Nakanishi Miho) and Miyuki's assistant Kurata Kayoko (played by Maiko). Miyuki, like Oiwa, sees it all and swallows her anger, while the depression and resentment in her heart continue to accumulate. Hasegawa, who was dating Rio, did not return home all night, which made her girlfriend completely fall into a state of madness and dementia.
