In the early 18th century, cartographer Grimm was on a scientific expedition from Europe to the East. While crossing the Carpathian Mountains, he got lost in an abandoned village deep in the forest. Only accidental will and thick fog could bring him to this cursed place. The people living here were unlike anyone he had ever seen on his journey. These people, who isolated themselves from the world through deep trenches, naively believed that this would get rid of impurities, but they did not understand that corruption had already penetrated into their souls, just waiting for the opportunity to erupt. This materialistic scientist would never have expected in his dreams that he would be greeted by the devil's loyal servants.
