Wang Bo (played by Andy Lau) and Wang Li (played by Rene Liu) were originally a pair of best thieves, but because Wang Li was pregnant with Wang Bo's child, she decided to stop and atone for her sins, and the two had a disagreement. At the train station, Wang Li met Sha Gen (played by Wang Baoqiang), a rural kid who had just earned a sum of money in the city and was going to return to his hometown to build a house and marry a wife. She was moved by his innocence and decided to secretly protect him from the theft of his hard-earned money. Wang Bo was looking for a suitable opportunity to start, but eventually joined Wang Li's camp because of the "deep love between husband and wife". Unexpectedly, Sha Gen's money had long been targeted by another famous pickpocket gang headed by Uncle Li (played by Ge You), so a series of strong struggles between Wang Bo, Wang Li and Uncle Li's gangs around the money in Sha Gen's schoolbag were staged.
