This 90-minute BBC TV movie is based on the stage play of the same name by Mike Bartlett. The Queen of England dies, and Prince Charles is eagerly waiting for her death. He then succeeds to the throne and becomes Charles III. The fantasy drama tells the story of Prince Charles' succession to the throne after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. He refuses to allow a controversial bill to become law, which causes political chaos. On the one hand, Charles wants to gain a foothold in British politics, and on the other hand, he has to deal with the complexities of his family, his subjects and himself.
