Shum Jr. and Shiloh Fernandez join the new thriller "Plume", starring Josh Hutcherson, Suki Waterhouse and Tilda Cobham-Hervey, and written and directed by Chinese-American Mike Gan. The story revolves around a lonely and emotionally unstable gas station attendant Melinda (Harvey), who is fed up with being overshadowed by her more confident and outgoing colleague Sheila (Waterhouse). When a desperate man in need of cash, Billy (Hutcherson), hijacks the gas station at gunpoint, Melinda finds an opportunity to connect with him, regardless of whether anyone gets hurt. Shum Jr. plays Officer Liu, who is morally good and upright and is obsessed with Melinda. Fernandez plays Sheila's boyfriend Perry, who is inadvertently drawn into her dangerous game. This is the first feature film directed by Mike Gan, whose previous short film "No Evil" was shown at the Toronto Film Festival and the Palm Springs Film Festival.
