The story takes place during the Warring States Period in Japan. The samurai Ijiri Matabei (played by Tsuyoshi Kusanagi) and the princess of Kasuga, Lian Ji (played by Yui Niigata), are deeply in love, but they are far apart in class, so they have to hide their love deeply in their hearts. By chance, Matabei met a boy named Shinichi (played by Makoto Takei), and what surprised Matabei was that Shinichi told him that he was from the future. Entrusted by Lian Ji, Matabei became Shinichi's guardian, and Chun Ji is about to have a political marriage with the great country daimyo Okurai Takatora (played by Takao Ozawa). The camera turns back to modern times. Shinichi's disappearance makes Akatsuki (played by Michitaka Takashi) and Misako (played by Yui Natsukawa), who are parents, very anxious. Following the clues left by Shinichi, Akatsuki and Misako also traveled back to ancient times, where they found Shinichi, and the family of three became guests of Kasuga Castle.
