A pair of "golden" partners of the Miami Police Department, a good man who loves his wife and family, Benner (Martin Lawrence), and a rich boy, Laurie (Will Smith), who is well-dressed and suave, are ordered to investigate a theft of drug evidence worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
