Dr. Jinbo's (Harrison Ford) wife was murdered at home. Although Jinbo ran into the one-armed murderer and fought with him that night, the murderer finally escaped, and Jinbo himself was convicted of murder due to various unfavorable evidence. On the way to the prison, a prisoner tried to escape and caused a prison car accident. Jinbo rescued a police officer in the chaos and escaped at night. Federal Judicial Officer Sam (Tommy Lee Jones) who rushed to the scene of the accident took over the case to hunt down Jinbo.
