The film tells the story of a new deadly virus that swept the world in a few days. Beth (Gwyneth Paltrow) died of a sudden illness after returning home to Minneapolis from a business trip in Hong Kong. Her husband Thomas (Matt Damon) assisted Dr. Erin Mears (Kate Winslet) in investigating the truth. The scary thing is that patients with the same disease have appeared on a large scale around the world, and the virus is spreading. Conspiracy reporter Aaron (Jude Law) took the opportunity to spread negative public opinion against the government and medical institutions.
