This is a story about two people who have fallen to the bottom of the society in Hong Kong. After being paralyzed due to an accident, the middle-aged man Han Changrong (played by Anthony Wong) lost his wife and children. He believes that there is nothing worth looking forward to in life, and he does not deserve anything. The young Filipino maid Evelyn (played by Crisel Consunji) became a worker living under someone else's roof due to practical reasons and gave up her dream of becoming a photographer. That summer, these two strangers met and got to know each other. Feelings sprouted in their master-servant relationship, but what bloomed was the respect and love between souls. The spring, summer, autumn and winter they experienced together made them learn how to face the four seasons of life.
