The story takes place in the early 1990s, when the once glorious Central Plains Aircraft Factory was showing a clumsy and tired posture. Qu Jing (played by Su Xiaotong), a junior high school student living in the family compound, and her father Qu Zhicheng (played by Guo Xiao) are a somewhat pedantic and stubborn forensic doctor. Although Qu Forensic Doctor is often ridiculed by his wife and the people around him, he does not change his stubborn style of handling cases.
