The film tells the story of several patrolmen in Vermont, North America. Most of the time, they play tricks on speeding drivers on the highway, go out for a ride in the detained sports car, and fight with the local police. The good days are finally over. Because the government is having a headache for huge financial expenses, the news of layoffs and unemployment spreads to these "idlers". In order to avoid being laid off, they plan to actively perform, but there is nothing in the remote border area that can make them perform well.
