The movie is adapted from a real event. An accident caused Lao Yu (played by Gao Qiang) to lose his legs, and he will spend the rest of his life in bed. After his mother died, Lao Yu was taken care of by his sister Qiu Hong (played by Yu Yuexian). Lao Yu has always been in a state of self-blame because he feels that he has dragged down his mother and sister. He is devoted to designing a means of transportation that can carry him out of the house, but no one believes that the complicated drawings will be transformed into real objects. By chance, a cute Labrador came to Lao Yu's home by accident. Although he often complained that the little guy was disobedient and loved to cause trouble, as time went by, Lao Yu and the puppy had already established trust and friendship. After unremitting efforts, Lao Yu's scooter was finally completed. The puppy acted as a driver every day to pull Lao Yu to the town to set up a stall to repair electrical appliances, and then pulled Lao Yu home in the evening.
