Rashomon, the south gate of Kyoto, Japan. A wandering monk, a woodcutter, and a beggar took shelter from the rain under the city gate. The three chatted and the topic began, and the prelude of the story was opened: a samurai and his wife passed by a barren mountain and met with an accident. The wife was insulted, and the samurai was brutally murdered. How did the tragedy happen? The murderer, the wife, and the witch who used the samurai's dead soul to testify all had their own stories. There is only one truth, but everyone has different purposes for providing testimony. In order to beautify their own morality, reduce their own sins, and cover up their own faults, everyone began to narrate a version of the story that beautifies themselves. The tragedy on the barren mountain became a fog that could not be cleared. After the discussion, the rain stopped and the sky cleared. The woodcutter found a crying abandoned baby next to Rashomon. He decided to adopt the baby and walked into the sunset with the baby in his arms.
