Cassandra (Carey Mulligan) was a promising top student in medical school, but she dropped out because of her friend's suicide. During the day, Cassandra worked part-time in a coffee shop, and every night she would put on a sexy outfit and haunt the nightclubs in the city. She would pretend to be drunk, waiting for a "kind" man to take her home, so as to carry out her harmless revenge on men. One day, Cassandra met her former classmate Ryan (Bo Burnham) in a coffee shop, and Ryan began to pursue the former passionately. Ryan's appearance once again evoked Cassandra's memories of the tragic experience in her student days. When she learned that the culprits who had caused the death of her friend were now living their own wonderful lives, the flames of revenge intensified in her heart.
