At 12 o'clock midnight, the alarm clock rang, and the time for a canteen in a corner of the city began. The menu only has pork set meals, but you can order whatever you want. This is the business policy of the boss (played by Kaoru Kobayashi). The special style and nostalgic taste attracted many customers. Everyone drank a little wine, ate the food they loved, unloaded the fatigue of the day, talked about the interesting things they encountered, or tasted the sorrow alone. In the aroma of food, in the quietness unique to the late night and the lingering warmth in the canteen, a series of stories full of human touch were told. There are sorrows and joys, which coincide with the sweetness and bitterness of food. The taste of life is all in this four-sided canteen. This drama is adapted from the manga of the same name by Abe Yaro. In 2010, it won the "General Reader Category" award at the 55th Shogakukan Manga Award and won the grand prize at the 39th Japan Cartoonists Association Award.
