Description:In the 1960s, gambling was popular in Hong Kong. One of the factions was the "Eight Generals of the Thousand Gates", which was famous for its cheating skills. After member Long Si (played by Zheng Zeshi) made a big move, his senior brother Pang Feng (played by Qin Pei) and the Chinese detective Wen Xiong (played by Tang Zhenye) set up a trap to frame him and put him in jail because of the grudge between the same school who indirectly killed his younger brother. His girlfriend Lily (played by Zhang Huiyi) was even snatched away by Wen Xiong. Five years later, Long Si was released from prison at a time when Hong Kong films were developing rapidly. He entered the studio and became a high-ranking producer after working hard. He had two capable assistants, Shu Qi (played by Cai Hanyi) and Mai Ji (played by Wu Yekun), and a daughter Xiaoyu (played by Wang Zihan) who had just recognized him. Good times don't last long. The assistants began to face various struggles and emotional relationships on the set on their own.
