When a huge meteorite is discovered heading towards the Earth and will hit the Earth within 18 days, NASA comes up with a way to prevent the meteorite from colliding with the Earth and causing the destruction of humanity: send people to land on the surface of the meteorite, drill a hole through the center of the meteorite, and put in a nuclear bomb to detonate. But all this must be done within 18 days. The oil well foreman (Bruce Willis) is entrusted with an important task, and his subordinate (Ben Affleck) happens to be the boyfriend of his daughter (Liv Tyler). Whether this mission can be successfully completed is related to the happiness of his daughter for the rest of her life.
