One summer in her childhood, a girl named Menma (voiced by Kayano Ai) died in an accident. This sudden death deeply hurt her five childhood playmates - Jinta, Anming, Xue Ji, Tsurumi and Bobo. The secret base of six people, "Super Peace Busters", was disbanded, and the five survivors grew up separately with irreparable trauma. Ten years later, Menma came back in a form that only Jinta could see, with a wish to be fulfilled. This theatrical version starts with Menma having "become a Buddha" with the help of five partners. One year after Menma completed her wish and disappeared, Jinta and the other five reunited and wrote letters to Menma, recalling the miracle that happened to the six "Super Peace Busters" last summer.
