The story is set in the Warring States Period of China, a time when China had never experienced unification and was plagued by wars. The protagonist, Li Xin, is a young man from the Qin State. He lost his parents in the war and lived a life like a slave in the home of the village head who took him in. The village head’s home took in two war orphans, Xin and Piao. However, as orphans, Xin and Piao did not lose their ambitions because of their humble status. Instead, in this chaotic world of frequent wars, they aspired to become great generals, and they practiced martial arts together. With the goal of becoming a great general who was famous all over the world, they honed themselves every day and waited for the opportunity to make achievements.
