Once upon a time, giants in the clouds came to the earth with the help of bean pods. They were rampant, devouring humans, and causing endless harm. Thanks to the brave and clever King Eric who drove the giants back to his hometown, the legend of the giants has become more and more popular since then. Jack (Nicholas Hoult), a poor young man who has been deeply attracted by the story of giants since childhood, went to the city to buy a horse. He accidentally encountered a monk who was chased by the Royal Guards. In a panic, he exchanged the horse for the bean pods in the other's hand. As night fell and heavy rain came suddenly, Princess Isabel (Eleanor Tomlinson), who was unwilling to give her lifelong happiness to others, took advantage of the chaos and ran away, and came to Jack's house to take shelter from the rain. Just as they were chatting, the bean pods soaked in rain suddenly sprouted, and the bean stems grew wildly, reaching the sky, bringing the princess trapped in the house into the clouds.
