The story revolves around five protagonists. Ted (Josh Radnor), a professor at the university, is still searching for love, waiting for the arrival of his true love. On this day, Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) told him a message that Giant National Bank commissioned him to design a new headquarters building. After several considerations, Ted agreed to accept the job, so Ted and Barney became work partners. On the other hand, Matthew (Jason Segel) and Lily (Alyson Hannigan) started their great "man-making plan" after marriage, but things were not smooth sailing.
