When he was a child, Hinata Shoyo saw a volleyball match on TV. A short guy from Karasuno High School was so heroic on the ball that he looked like a "little giant". He was deeply impressed by this and became fascinated with volleyball, always wanting to be like the "little giant". In junior high school, the volleyball club didn't have enough players, so he had to wait silently. Later, when new members finally joined, he participated in the first and last match. Unfortunately, they faced off against the strongest team and of course lost. If he were alone, he would never be able to see that view. If he wasn't alone, he might be able to see it. In order to play a "winning" game, Shoyo worked hard to get into Karasuno High School and worked hard to realize his volleyball dream of becoming a "little giant"!
