Description:In the United States, more than 1/3 of women have suffered sexual abuse, and 80% of them have experienced post-traumatic stress disorder. One day, in the southern United States, a black girl named Renesha was sexually assaulted after a party. When she decided to ask for help, she found herself powerlessly lost in the complex medical administration and judicial system. The originally sweet and stable relationship seemed to be put to the test. This film uses extremely realistic lens language to reproduce the experiences of many women who have been hurt, reflecting the psychological fear and unspeakable sense of confusion that women have experienced in the process. The carefully arranged plot, in addition to touching on the core issues raised by the #MeToo movement, also extends the discussion to gender relations, patriarchy, an imperfect medical system, and the long-standing racial issues in the United States. Beneath the director's precise narrative surface, there are endless shocks buried.
