In 1995, a five-member Navy SEAL team led by Lieutenant Matt Barnes (Sullivan Stapleton) went to Sarajevo to carry out a joint British-American operation to kidnap a local warlord. After the mission was successfully completed, Stanton Baker (Charlie Bewley), one of the team members, learned by chance from his girlfriend Laura (Sylvia Hoeks) that 27 tons of gold left by the Nazis were deposited at the bottom of a local lake. Laura hopes to get the gold, use half to save her country, and the other half as a reward for the team.
