Sheng Nan (played by Yao Chen), a female, is independent, motivated and ambitious. She longs for true love but is still single. She accidentally discovered that she had ovarian cancer and needed surgery, but her father was unfaithful and her mother was immature. Her family could not give her the support she wanted, so she had to accept a job she didn't like to raise money for the surgery. Sheng Nan, who was born proud, found out at the critical moment of life and death that it was more difficult for adults to live decently than they imagined. In hope and despair again and again, she finally reconciled with the world in her own way.
