Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a fur hunter who was beaten by a bear on a hunting trip and was rescued by the boat captain Andrew Henry (Domhnall Gleeson) who was traveling with him. The captain hired two people, John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy) and Jim Bridger (Will Poulter) to take care of him. John Fitzgerald had no intention of taking care of Glass at all. He only wanted to take Glass's property for himself, so he brutally killed Glass's son and persuaded Jim Bridger to abandon Glass to die in the wilderness. The two thought that Glass would die like this, but with strong perseverance, Glass traveled through the wild wilderness for several months, finally returned to a safe area and began his revenge plan. The film is adapted from Michael Punk's novel of the same name.
