Nanami Momozono (voiced by Suzuko Mimori), a homeless daughter, had to wander the streets because her father had disappeared after owing a lot of debts. On the way, Nanami helped a man who was chased by a vicious dog. The man told Nanami that his name was Mikage (voiced by Akira Ishida). After learning about Nanami's experience, he unexpectedly offered to give his residence to Nanami. A deserted shrine - this is where Mikage said she lived. Nanami felt that she had been fooled, but there was nowhere else to go. What surprised her even more was that Mikage turned out to be the land god of the shrine, and now, the title of the land god has naturally been transferred to Nanami with the residence. She became the land god inexplicably, and the messenger Tomoe (voiced by Shinnosuke Tachibana) who called her "master" appeared beside her. Before Nanami could figure out the situation, various cute and naughty gods came to her one after another.
