Darius (Samuel L. Jackson) was once a super killer who frightened people in the industry. Now he has been arrested and is behind bars, waiting for a long prison sentence. Darius's wife Sonya (Salma Hayek) is also in prison. One day, Darius got an unexpected opportunity to free Sonya. In exchange, he must testify in court to prove the evil criminal Vladislav (Gary Oldman). As the person in charge of escorting Darius to court, Emilia (Elodie Yung) and her team were ambushed by mercenaries sent by Vladislav, and the whole army was annihilated. The surviving Emilia had no choice but to find a private bodyguard and ex-boyfriend Michael (Ryan Reynolds) to entrust him to protect Darius.
