Adapted from the comic book of the same name, it tells the story of the morning after Halloween in 1988, when four 12-year-old girls delivering newspapers are inadvertently involved in a conflict between time travelers. They are sent on an adventure through time and space to save the world. As they travel between the present, past and future, they encounter their future selves, and now they must choose to accept or reject their destiny. This is an emotional adventure. The girls and the women they eventually become are strong, their friendship is real, and their time travel is epic. Ali Huang plays the adult version of Irene Teen. When the two Irenes finally meet, they are forced to face the gap between their childhood hopes, dreams, ambitions and the reality of life when they grow up.
