Misaki Mikoto (played by Satomi Ishihara) is a female forensic doctor working for the civilian forensic organization "UDI", which specializes in receiving bodies that died due to abnormal reasons and dissecting them in order to find the truth of the case. Working with Mikoto are forensic doctor Nakadō Kei (played by Iura Arata), recorder Kubu Rokuro (played by Masataka Kubota) and inspection technician Tokai Lin Yuko (played by Mikoto Ichikawa). Although Nakadō Kei has rich clinical experience, his personality is eccentric and weird. Mikoto and Nakadō, who have different understandings of justice and law, often have irreconcilable conflicts. In fact, Nakadō has a secret that no one knows. His girlfriend unfortunately died in an "accident", but various clues revealed to Nakadō that it was a serial killer who took his girlfriend's life. Nakadō stayed in UDI despite what people said, just to find the murderer who killed his girlfriend.
