Lao Tian (played by Zhou Guangda), who is nearly 70 years old, lost his wife in his early years. He waited day and night at the Dasha River ferry to ferry the passing villagers. From the generation of his grandfather, they have persisted for 120 years. Originally, their family fled here to escape famine, and the kind Tujia mountain people accepted them. Because there was a turbulent Dasha River in front of the door, it blocked the exchanges between the villagers on both sides of the strait. It was very inconvenient to go out of the mountain and take a long detour, which made life extremely inconvenient. In order to repay their gratitude, they used their ancestral craftsmanship-rowing to ferry the villagers who went out of the mountains and into the mountains for free. The simple villagers occasionally deliberately dropped a handful of green vegetables or a few potatoes to show their gratitude. Now that Lao Tian is old and sick, he often feels powerless. On this day, his son (played by Liu Jun), who worked in Guangzhou, came back. How long can this Yidu, which has lasted for 120 years, persist... This film is adapted from the true story of the 120-year "Hundred Years of Yidu" of Wan Qizhen's family in Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province. In September 2013, the film won the Special Award at the 37th Montreal International Film Festival and was collected by the French National Museum of Art.
