In a fantasy land off the Iberian Peninsula, 17-year-old Asha (voice of Ariana DeBose) and her pet goat live in Rosas, known as the Kingdom of Wishes, where people come from far and wide to express their wishes to a magical king, Menifico (voice of Chris Pine), who promises to one day grant their deepest wishes, and only he can decide which wishes will come true and when. Asha, an astute idealist, makes an especially powerful wish, which is answered by a cosmic force - a small ball of infinite energy called a star. Together, Asha and the star face their most powerful enemy yet, overthrowing Menifico's rule to save her community and proving that when the will of one brave person is combined with the magic of the stars, amazing things can happen.
