The two brothers often go fishing with their father. The gurgling river and the quiet afternoon have become the most unforgettable moments between father and son. The father is an old pastor who often preaches in the town. The eldest son Norman (Craig Sheffer) has inherited his father's career - he is good at lecturing, and after graduating from college, he returned to his hometown to preach and teach. The youngest son Paul (Brad Pitt) has a very different personality - he loves freedom and has a unique fishing method.
