From emperor to head of state, from war criminal to new citizen, he experienced the last glory of the Forbidden City. He went north from Tianjin to become the "Emperor of Manchukuo". He was captured by the Soviet Union after Japan's defeat and was imprisoned for five years. He was extradited back to China as a war criminal and was pardoned. The brightest and most hopeful days of his life came. He participated in work and elections as an ordinary citizen, and finally bathed in the dawn of a new era, and died with reluctance to a new life. The Qing Dynasty rose and fell for nearly three hundred years.
