This film is based on the book "Today's Corpse" by female undertaker Yuko Nagai. It is a film that explores human nature. It tells the story of love and growth of two female undertakers. The protagonist Ai Kawamura's parents died in a car accident when she was young, leaving her and her younger brother to depend on each other. The siblings have never been able to let go of the fact that they were unable to attend their parents' funeral and say goodbye to them properly. Ai met the female undertaker Manshima at a funeral held at a colleague's home. Manshima's superb skills moved Ai very much. In order to completely heal the psychological trauma caused by her parents' death in a car accident, Ai decided to become an undertaker by apprenticing to Manshima. In the process of seeing off the dead, Ai began to understand their stories, felt the kindness and beauty of human nature, and finally was redeemed.
