The story takes place in France in the 17th century. The famous garden designer Andre (Matthias Schoenaerts) saw the talent of the countrymen in the female gardener Sabina (Kate Winslet), so he decided to recommend her to be responsible for the grand project of renovating the Palace of Versailles for Louis XIV (Alan Rickman).
