Like all residents living in the metropolis of New York, Kate (Catherine Keener) rarely has time to calm down and think about her life and situation, but once she starts thinking, Kate finds that her life is not as good as it seems. Kate is engaged in a mysterious profession that cannot be said. She buys second-hand goods at a low price, repairs them and then sells them to furniture stores at a high price. This profession of walking on thin ice makes Kate in danger of being arrested at any time. At the same time, the relationship between Kate and her husband is gradually no longer as sweet and happy as before. Coupled with the gold-worshiping daughter who gives Kate a headache, Kate feels that she has fallen from heaven to hell for a while. Next door to Kate's house lives an old lady with a weird personality, Andra (Ann Morgan Gilbert), and this story starts from the old lady.
