The play tells the story of Xu Yingying, a doctoral teacher at Ningzhou University, who came to Chuntianli Community for research and was unexpectedly elected as the community director. She constantly thought and explored in the complicated community governance work, and grew from a new grass-roots worker to an excellent community cadre. With the joint efforts of community policeman Tian Lijie, social workers and many community residents, the old factory area was transformed into a characteristic central block that residents yearn for. This presents the overall style of social workers and community work to the audience, allowing the audience to better understand the hardships of grass-roots work.
