Fox Mulder (David Duchovny), an American FBI agent, experienced a bizarre and mysterious kidnapping case in his childhood. His sister Samantha was abducted by aliens in her sleep and her whereabouts are still unknown. Since then, Mulder has focused on the study of mysterious events and is specifically responsible for the X-Files department of the FBI headquarters. Because Mulder is eccentric and difficult to control, the FBI senior management transferred female agent Dinah Scolari (Gillian Anderson) from the FBI Academy. On the surface, she was assisting Mulder in his work, but in fact, they hoped that this rational agent who advocates science could restrain Mulder's behavior.
