The members of the Serious Case Team VI include Zeng Keqiang (played by Li Chengru), Ji Jie (played by Wang Qian), Jiang Han (played by Dong Yong), Bai Ling (played by Gao Rong) and Huang Tao (played by Zhang Lin). The first three have worked in the front line of solving cases for many years, and the latter two have just stepped out of the police academy. Under the instructions of the director (Zhang Chao), they solved a series of murders, explosions, poisoning, kidnapping, robbery, amputation... cases. But under the brave and cold face, the five people also have tenderness and worries. Zeng Keqiang was late in investigating a case and his teammate was killed. He vowed to catch the murderer but could not do so; Ji Jie was about to step on the red carpet with her boyfriend and found that he had an affair with her sister; Bai Ling and Huang Tao's knowledge of investigating cases mostly came from books, and their lack of practical experience often made them drag the whole team's feet... and the five people often had conflicts due to their different temperaments. But when there is a case to be investigated, the five people can always adjust their status quickly and regard arresting the murderer as the first priority.
