A stabbed body was found in a material storage yard. The victim was a woman in her 20s who ran a local tavern. Soon, a 19-year-old youth was arrested on suspicion of murder and abandonment of the body. Taking advantage of a trial, the former judge Daisaburo Kikuchi (played by Kippei Shiina) was entrusted to Daisaburo Kikuchi, a lawyer who was obsessed with the past and betrayed the "truth". The young man's self-narration and the simple trial that was immediately judged were considered to be murderous by the prosecutor's office at the beginning of the investigation, and the young man denied it during the trial. In the process of investigating the young man, Kikuchi once again confronted the "truth". Soon, unexpected facts in the court were revealed one after another, confusing the judge.
