In the future, in New York, the young wealthy Eric Parker (Robert Pattinson) is sitting in a luxury car, under the close protection of bodyguards, going to the barber shop he has been familiar with since childhood. Along the way, he meets all kinds of people and all kinds of weird things: his young wife Alice (Sarah Gadon) is so close to him that he can only meet him on the road; a middle-aged woman (Juliette Binoche) comes to have sex with him and then tells him about the artwork; the continued appreciation of the renminbi makes him watch his property loss, and Manhattan outside the car window gradually falls into a riot.
