ITV has renewed the true crime series "Manhunt" for a second season, titled "Manhunt: The Night Stalker", which will still be 4 episodes. Martin Clunes returns to play Senior Inspector Colin Sutton. Ed Whitmore, the screenwriter of the first season, continues to be responsible for the script. The story is based on Colin Sutton's diary and real events, telling the story of the police's pursuit of a notorious serial rapist, whose 17 years of crimes have made thousands of elderly people in southeast London live in fear. This is an important case that Colin Sutton was in charge of before his retirement. The series has started filming and is expected to be broadcast in 2021.
