A young diplomat is assigned a mission to rescue a kidnapped diplomat with a ransom. During the Lebanese Civil War in 1986, a South Korean diplomat was kidnapped as a hostage in Beirut and his whereabouts are unknown. Two years have passed and people have long forgotten about this incident. Diplomat Min Joon (Ha Jung Woo) received a call proving that the hostage is still alive. With a set mission, Min Joon was sent to Beirut with a ransom to rescue the hostage. But Min Joon ran into trouble as soon as he set foot in Beirut. Fortunately, Min Joon managed to escape the airport with the unintentional help of local taxi driver Pan Su (Joo Ji Hoon). Although Pan Su's pranks make people distrust him, the two unlikely allies must travel through the destroyed and war-torn streets of Beirut to bring the long-awaited hostage home.
