From entering Guizhou in December 1934 to leaving Guizhou in May 1935, the Central Red Army was blocked by the Kuomintang army and suffered a disastrous defeat at Xiangjiang River during the Long March. It was forced to turn around and enter Guizhou at Tongdao. After that, it went through the Liping Conference, Houchang Conference, breaking through the Wujiang River, Zunyi Conference, Tucheng Battle, Four Crossings of the Chishui River, Zhaxi Conference, Zunyi Battle, Gouba Conference, crossing the Wujiang River to the south, advancing west into Yunnan, crossing the Jinsha River to the north, Huili Conference and other processes. It was full of difficulties and hardships. Under the correct leadership of Mao Zedong, the Central Red Army broke free from the enemy's pursuit and interception and shattered Chiang Kai-shek's plan to encircle and annihilate the Red Army.
