Adam McKay, the director of The Big Short, which focused on the US subprime mortgage crisis, has recently signed a contract with Paramount to direct a biopic about former US Vice President Dick Cheney. Brad Pitt's "Plan B" production company will work with McKay again to produce this film after Moneyball and The Big Short. Dick Cheney is known as the most powerful vice president in US history, and he is also the role model for the current US Vice President Mike Pence. During Bush's eight years in office, Cheney was ostensibly the second-in-command of the US, but in fact, many of President George W. I want to find out what drives him and what he believes in. So we did a deep investigation, and the result was shocking. Cheney is arguably the most powerful political figure in modern American history. He has largely shaped the current international status of the United States, and the way he has taken to seize power is also jaw-dropping." Adam McKay hopes to shoot the film in the spring of 2017 and release it at the end of the year. He is currently looking for suitable actors.
