The fifth season of the story jumps to five years later, when Aiden (Connor Gibbs), the son of Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Jim (David Conrad), is five years old. He has the same abilities as Melinda, but is much more powerful than her, and can even see or hear things that Melinda can't perceive. Not all souls who are reincarnated with the help of Melinda will be reincarnated into light, some will be reincarnated into darkness, which is equivalent to hell. The souls who are reincarnated into darkness are full of hatred and anger. And the abilities that Aiden has seen may open another door for Melinda's world...
